Niranjan Weerakumara
Our director of training, Niranjan is an Award Winning ICT, Engineering and Social Media professional well known for his creative works on web and film industry. Niranjan is an Adobe Lead Educator, Ashoka Fellow and expert in digital Media production. Niranjan has won most prestigious international awards for his education and youth development work. Niranjan earned his film education and training from Newyork Film School and Adobe Foundation, USA.
Lanka Jayasinghe
Many young people do not know him from his name. But you have seen his advertising work along the roads and film work in theaters. Lanka is a professional photographer with cinematic instincts. His best works are for major film ABA. Lanka had been a pillar of setting up YES Film School since 2008. He will help you to learn professional camera works and cinematography.
Ranjith Rajapaksa
Ranjith who has been teaching and producing drama is a leading member of our team. Ranjith several times won national best script writer awards and many awards for his drama. He has produced large number of drama professionals and well known industry for his teaching drama and theater.
Sunil Wikramakeerthi
If you want to meet an actor, director, make up artist, art director and producer, Sunil is made of all. He has been in Television industry doing all above at Swarnavahini TV for 12 years. He will teach you how media industry works and how to find work, business and employment.
Mithun Kumarasinghe
Mithun is a founder member of YES. He found home at YES Film School, specially focusing on assisting in every cinematic role whether it's acting, camera, editing, music or making Tea for crew. He is a Information and commutation technologist and a mechanical engineer. Computers , networks and Mechanics of films are his expertise. In modern film making you can't become a success without a pro like Mithun.
Lahiru Wanigasekera
Lahiru has been a strong member of YES Team providing music for all our film productions. Without his music YES would not have won International awards. Lihiru is an electronic undergraduate at Open University, Sri Lanka. He will lead sound recording and editing in YES Film School.
Vishwa Kumara
He has every skill a young person like to have. Philosophy to black magic, Web and Mobile Programming to Engineering. Lighting, Scripting and Social Network Development are his master skills. He will be the one you will go for new ideas and innovation, specially when you are stuck at a dead end. He solves problem.
Learning form Film Masters
You will be able to gain knowledge of Sri Lankan Cinema by exploring the Cinema works of Dharmasena Pathiraja (Bambaru Awith), Dharmasiri Bandaranayake (Hansa Vilak), Prasanna Vithanage (Oba Nethiva Obath Ekka), Ashoka Handagama (IniAvan), Wasantha Obeysekara (Dadayama) etc.
